On October 24, 2017, Stanley Steemer was hired to clean two bedrooms and one Persian 10’ X 14’ area rug. In both instances, they failed miserably in accomplishing what they were hired to do.
Clean the carpets. Upon the carpets drying, it was apparent the job they set out to do was not done properly as stains still persisted in both the bedrooms as well as the area rug. I called them, explained the situation, they subsequently sent out another service agent and re-cleaned the bedroom carpet. Once more, upon the rug drying out, the stains remained; only now they were in different location.
Again I called, they sent out a manager to inspect, he examined, took pictures, and again ordered another service agent to return and re-clean the carpets. In addition, he shared the area rug should have been taken to their facility for cleaning of such. The manager took the area rug with him to clean at their location. Another service agent appeared and cleaned the bedroom carpets again (third time).
Once more, upon drying, the rugs were still stained and again in another location than where they began. In addition, the rugs NOW had buckled and require being re-stretched. On top of this, the Persian rug which had been taken to their shop, had much of the fringe tassels shorn off from the service. When I spoke with the manager regarding this, aspect, he first denied such but ended by saying that was common when cleaning this type of rug.
Following this conversation, I escalated my dismay with the managers supervisor. He stated he would send out yet another individual to inspect. The day the next agent was to appear; he called and said his manager told him not to come and that they would refund my money in full. This as of this writing has not occurred.
Due to the damage incurred which I now have to pay separately to repair as well as failure to clean the carpets per their service agreement. Bottom line, don’t hire Stanley Steemer for anything as they’re incompetent and don’t stand behind their services.
