Theft occurred by technicians while in my home
Stanley Steamer knew that the person that was in my house to do my carpet cleaning was accused of the theft in the past by other customers yet he retained his employment. While in my house he went through several rooms and stole medicines belonging to myself and my son, the medicines that were stolen, were controlled substances if Stanley Steamer knew, this was a thief why was he employed and I did not appreciate a thief being let in my house the fact that he had prior complaints was verified by the police department.
I called Stanley Steamer for satisfaction, and to ask why this was done and they have refused to return my calls , I believe that I should be refunded my money because it is still unknown. What might have been stolen while he was in my home the fact that Stanley Steamer has ignored my request for satisfaction, or even to speak to someone to Discuss this issue is on satisfactory and lacks professionalism on Stanley Steamer part I have been a part. I have been a customer of Stanley Steamer for numerous years and to be ignored after letting a thief into my house and stealing from me and ignoring all request from me is ridiculous.
Police report was five with the Naperville Illinois police department. I do.

They mislead you with that $99 special
I saw the ad for the $99 special and went on-line to order it, also I told them I needed the stairway cleaned also, they told me the price would be $173, so I emailed back and said what happened to the $99 special and they said it would be applied at time of service. When again I asked them to break the price down they said that 2rm plus stairs is $151 and the hallway was $22 and again I asked where the $99 special was and they said it would be applied at time of service. When time of service came there was no $99 special because I ordered an extra room but I was never told that before they came, if I knew a stairway was $74 I would have said no thanks they mislead me.

Resolved: Rug still is dirty.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.

They left huge skid marks across my wood floors. They use toxic chemicals and tell you it’s safe. They don’t give refunds. Bad business.
They left huge skid marks across my wood floors. Since I had a good experience the first time I used them, I asked for the same technician, but they sent someone else.
It was a younger technician with a different machine, he said there are two types of machines. I thought the first time they only used water, since I expressed concern about the chemicals. This guy said they always use chemicals, but that they are safe. I looked them up and of course they are completely toxic.
They wouldn't even give me a refund for wreaking my floors. They offered to redo my floors with more chemicals, which I don't want.

Ruined my area rug
They arrived to clean my area rug and couldnt find the tag indicating material To see if it was safe to steam clean. AAlex me if I knew and I didnt have any idea.
Tested a spot and asked if if they could proceed. looked fine when they were done but was covered in brown spots in the morning. I flipped the corner of the rug and there was the tag indicating made with viscose. they indicated that was the issue as it couldnt be steamed cleaned and it was all on me since I said to proceed.
seems like locating the tag to avoid this is pretty basic. Refused to make it right.
Check the photos out and judge for yourselves. Id recommend finding someone else to clean your carpet

I hired Stanley Steamer company to clean my floors and carpets throughout the home. I had so much confidence in them that I paid the workers and left. The next day when I return home, I saw blue dots
I hired Stanley Steamer company to clean my floors and carpets throughout the home. I had so much confidence in them that I paid the workers and left.
The next day when I return home, I saw blue dots on my brand-new rugs and the house had an odor. I have been calling since 07/25/2023 and spoken to numerous supervisors, The General Mgr, and customer services, and all I got was an empty promise. I even agreed for them to come back and redo the rugs and floors. When the workers came they told us all that was in the home that their equipment broke down and they could not do the work.
I am still waiting for someone to make this situation correct.
It is sad how they treat me because in my book they were number 10 and now they are zero. I can take my case to the news and try to get a lawyer to go over my right.

A very unsuccessful return phone call & as a 68 year old female had to help a very young man to move furniture................. NO way would I use them or reccommend them to anyone. Now after 4 emails & 3 attempts to contact all as failed

Don't bother With the "deodorizer" treatment. The guy has a spray bottle with something like febreeze in it and he walks around the room and spritzes a few times.
Buy a bottle of febreeze and do it yourself in less than a minute. It only lasts a day anyway and the odor just comes back, then you have to do it again.
I had my Duct cleaned by Stanley Steemer they did a GREAT job, The air Duct Techs were very knowledgeable of their job.
I have had this company clean my carpets for years. They do a nice job.
Stairs are always extra. Carpet post cleaning treatments are extra.

I find ALL the people on the phone so ready to take your money, however price quoted NEVER when payment was due at the end of cleaning carpets, area rugs. Errrrrrr! They are very INEPT, period.....
People on the phone don't take your money. They send a crew to access your dirty situation. You either agree or don't.
I was going to order the 3 room $99 special , but after reading the reviews and the lack of SS to set the price before service ( they say the special will be applied at time of service) , I will not be utilizing SS for my carpet service
