I saw the ad for the $99 special and went on-line to order it, also I told them I needed the stairway cleaned also, they told me the price would be $173, so I emailed back and said what happened to the $99 special and they said it would be applied at time of service....

Don't bother With the "deodorizer" treatment. The guy has a spray bottle with something like febreeze in it and he walks around the room and spritzes a few times.

Buy a bottle of febreeze and do it yourself in less than a minute. It only lasts a day anyway and the odor just comes back, then you have to do it again.

STANLEY STEEMER BROKE INTO MY HOME
After they finished with shampooing carpet they called claiming they left a blower at the home. I made them aware that I left out of town and only the other handymen where there. I spoke to the manager of the grover beach area. He send out the same guy that shampooed the carpets and trespasses into my backyard, then tried to open my sliding back door to go inside the home. My ring camera caught it all.

Deceptive business practices

I was quoted a price online of $99 to clean the tile floor of my two-car garage. When they arrived they told me the cost would be $250 because the floor tiles were plastic. I was shocked and disappointed. After deliberating, the cost was reduced to $225. Although I am satisfied with the outcome of the work, I will not recommend this company to anyone due to this bait and switch tactic.

Bad job or lack of job

I had Stanley Steamer here last week and was told there was a block of ice around the coil in the attic, that was why I had no air condition, and that I need to get HVAC here. I had someone here and was told there was no block of ice and they never even opened the part, Where they said the ice was. Also, They was supposed to open all my vents to blow it out and they never even opened the vents they just sprayed into them. They never even went into the crawl space but charged for it like they did it

Damaged piano

The technicians dropped a vent on top of my piano, leaving three large gashes. Neither technician said anything at the time. However, when I called customer service, they reached out to the technicians to which they said "yes, we remember dropping a vent on the piano." They also cracked a humidifier. Stanley Steemer offered a $50 discount for future services - to fix the piano will require $500. I'm not sure how a discount for future service adequately responds to the damage they caused to my piano.

Services

Hired Stanley Steemer to clean my sheepskin rug. They came over stated that the rug must be completed off-site. They took it for 12 days and brought it back ruined, matted, ungroomed dirty still. Called asked for a manager never heard back goodbye $800 that the spent on the rug. The rug is ruined. No one has taken care of follow up.

I had patron $3 50 to get a couch I love seat and a few carpet cleaned with deodorizer. When I got home the couches were still soiled upon flying a white cloth across them the cloth was soiled and dirty. When calling back the owner which then the cleaning. I explained to him I thought I had gotten an unprofessional cleaning. At that time he threatened to harm me if I didn't accept the cleaning that he gave me. He said that if he had to come back out here he wasn't going to be happy and he would he would basically rough me up.

Complaint

I called about water extraction on carpet. The sales person said they just don't do water extractions they pull the carpet they monitor the sump pump. I said never mind. I called back to see if they would clean my carpets and they said no. I will never ever call Stanley Steemer EVER AGAIN. I"m Really Mad.

I was told 1 price over the phone & then they almost doubled it when they came to my house to do the job. The technician was very rude also.

Mess left after duct work

Our entire basement is covered with soot which they failed to remove. Two employees came to our home this past Saturday and checked it out, took some pictures (the pictures did not show the extent of the soot and settlement. ). They called a so-called manager who, of course was on vacation...I betcha there are more managers in the company than him! So of course I am supposed to get a call today. I thought Id receive a call this morning since Im sure Im the only customer whos had this problem with you!! Haha. I havent been in my basement since they were here last Wednesday. By the way the clean laundry has to be rewash s!

Bad service

had ducts cleaned several months ago, still have dust coming out of ducts. furniture completely covered in dust. service tech claims camera for duct view didn't work. sloppy work. nothing offered was complete!!

Poor service

I scheduled a cleaning for 2 vacation rental condos for couches/loveseats. The first scheduled date came and went with no service. I called and they stated that they couldnt reach me to confirm. I received no email, call or text prior to this appointment. So I rescheduled, and I called the morning of to confirm. The representative stated that they were on track to arrive between 1-4 and would call for my credit card after the service was done. No call. The next day, I receive a confirmation appt email for a different day. I finally called and cancelled. The service area is the Florida Keys. Really? How busy are they that they cant stick to a service schedule? Ridiculous. I wont bother contacting them again.

COMPLAINT

Mon. 11/1 - Stanley Steemer was contacted /approved by my Ins. Co to remove/clean up water from water heater (pics/measurements were done &;;;;; sent to Ins. Co.) . As of today 11/5 - still waiting - not even a courtesy call from Stanley Steemer /No call backs plus I've called 3x this wk. where the secretaries told me that they'll give my messages to their managers & I should expect a call later in the day. My expectations were that Stanley Steemer is a professional co. according to their Ads on TV/newspapers & they would come to my home immediately on Tues. per the person that came on Mon. (plumber here on 11/1 with new heater) since I was told this is an urgent matter & they were going to prevent any mold developing . Well, my basement is still filled with water probably spreading more damages, I can't go in my basement to do laundry & my basement smells now & I'm sure there's mold because I now have headaches. If Stanley Steemer couldn't do the job they should have let me know on Mon. instead of ignoring me - now I'm going on to another week with water in my basement . Very stressful situation & I'm positive this is no way to run a business or anyone would want to be in my sNONEhoes. I've asked the Ins. Co. to find me another professional Co. with integrity! Poor Company

I contacted Stanley Steemer in Orlando, FL. to clean an area rug in my parents house. I went with Stanley Steemer thinking that a national company would be trust worthy and reputable. My parents are older and have in-home care so a brand name seemed like the way to go. I was given a quote on-line based on the size rug (8 x 10) and services (clean and deodorize). I was called to confirm the appointment and I thought I had told them to contact me with any changes but Stanley Steemer (they claim to have reviewed the call and said I didn't say this, maybe I didn't) didn't call me. The technicians say they measured the rug and that it was larger than what I had stated on-line. They also said that it need protector. The rug is very old and there was no need to add protector which was why I did not included it in the o-line quote. My dad agreed to the service and the technicians charged for it. I have to assume that they actually did it but I have no way of knowing. The total amount for the service was 1 and a 1/2 time more than the amount I was quoted on-line (it was also more than the value of the rug). By the time I found out about this the technicians had completed the service and left. I called Stanley Steemer thinking they that we could come to a amicable solution. I was told the area manager would get back to me by the end of the day. This did not happen. I called back the next morning and was told he was in the field. I said I would expect a call back within an hour. This did not happen. When the area manager did call me back he was very firm in his position that his technicians were in the right and that this was the end of it. I was very angry and upset at the position he took. What it boiled down to for me was this, Stanley Steemer upsold my elderly parents on a service that was clearly not needed. They would not remove the charge from the bill and that is where it ended. I do not usually write reviews but the way the company treated old people was to much for me. I would not only not recommend Stanley Steemer I would pay more to go to another company. I have already been told by the Orlando office that they will respond to my review and I encourage it. I would also encourage anyone who is considering using this company to think twice. This could have all been avoided if they had been willing to credit the $70 charge for the protector. #stanleysteemer #lessthanethical #anyothercarpetcleaner
