We had our carpets "cleaned" by Stanley Steemer. Despite there being debris all over the carpet and dirt around the walls they will not re-clean the carpets. The cleaners offered to spot clean two spots despite being shown at least a dozen obviously missed spots.

I have talked with the corporate office and they are worse than the rude cleaners who came to the house. There is no accountability between the local office and the corporate office. After almost a week the corporate office cannot even get in touch with the local office.

Do not use Stanley Steemer they do not stand behind their customer satisfaction promise. The employees are rude and your carpet will still be dirty. 129282b

These people just wasted my time and money. And were about to leave when I had to tell them look you don't see these spots. Omg do your job you people charge enough. The 1st time I used them great, this time a joke they wouldn't even move the same furniture they did the 1st time.

Does anybody know the actual meaning of the word " STAIN "??? Open a dictonary and READ IT. Do you buy a PERMENATE MARKER and hope it wipes off later? A STAIN is a PERMENATE DISCOLORATION. Can you get a bleach STAIN out of a pair of jeans? NO? WHY...BECAUSE IT'S A STAIN !!!!

Stanley Steemer in St. Louis is awful. They are were here for maybe 30 minutes and didn't get the stain up at all. I called and they were rude but are coming back to spot treat it. I think I will cancel and try a local company Woodard's instead. More expensive, but they seem more professional and do a great job.

Well what can one say to someone who is dissatisfied with a service. The thing is that franchises and people are all different. Some care more than others. I happen to work for a Stanley franchise, and can say we mostly work long hard days. Where I work the owner stands behind his Cleaning service reputation and if there is ANY question about us missing something, we do a redo. Mostly we get redos do to a pet stain or stains from a pet that "never" has an accident inside or from a traffic pattern. Some times its because there uniform colored carpet does not look so uniform after all the dirt, urine, soap from spotters, and all the other crud which has accrued over the years has been sucked off of and out of their carpet.

I think peoples expectations are to high and people think we can repair their carpet somehow. We can clean it but we cannot repair it.

I worked for this company for three years, and I can honestly say that these types of complaints are not few and far between. The technicians are not trained properly in most cases, and don't really care about the customer. Also, I have been to other branches that have refused to come out and do an additional cleaning for no charge. For them, it's a waste of time and gas, and they would rather send their techs to a job that will make them money.

I used to use Stanley Steemer. Too much water and chemicals. Stains come back a couple days later. Now I'm a fan of Oxi Fresh. Look for a franchise in your area. Little water and no chemicals. Much, much better result. Even got out stains Stanley Steemer didn't.

Just had Stanly Steemers clean the carpets of a home for me. I made the deal over the phone as i DO NOT LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN , THEY ASKED ME IF i WANTED it deodorized and I said no I just wanted it cleaned. When I looked at my bank statment I saw they added $220 . I called them and they said it was for pre cleaning which was authorized byt the person that let them in. He never authorized it and told them to call me if they wanted any changes. Well the bell says deodorizing. He called them now the say the charge is for rapid service , What crooks at least they could be consistent. This is in Baton Rouge. The owner was suppose to call me last Monday and and never did, I would say these people are a bunch of crooks. On top of that the carpet is not clean. I am going to try the corporate office tomorrow.
