Stanley Steemer ruined the finish on my hardwood floors. Their customer service has been unresponsive and emails to their CEO, Bates, are unanswered. I plan to sue them to recover the $10,000 needed to restore my floors by a professional. Stanley Steemer tried 3 times to finish the floors correctly. Each time was worse than the last. Their corporate customer service manager, Paul Carson, offered a 4th attempt as the only solution. When I refused a 4th attempt by Stanley Steemer to get it right I've no longer received any response from them. Their callous treatment of customers in ruining our floor and then ignoring us is appalling. 1292a27

| 1. Written by Jason on December 19, 2011 from saginaw, michigan, US Stanely Steamers offered to clean my grout for my marble floors while out on a standard carpet cleaning job for my home. After they finished with my grout I noticed that all of my marble was covered with etched spots. My entire marble floor now has leapard print stains and is essentially ruined beyond repair. The local SS owner in shasta lake california refused to even come out and look at the damage and Paul Carson the corporate customer relations rep will not return my calls. Two independent floor companies have submitted estimated, essentially saying that the only way to get my floors looking normal would be to rip them out and redo them. The estimated cost for that job is over $10,000!! I will be taking them to court. |

While at our home, they suggested she take advantage of the hardwood floor cleaning service, so she did. Our hardwood is now a mess. Trust me "Ike Wong" - we don't need money, but there's no way I am footing the bill for new hardwood floors. I am waiting to see if they make good on the damage. |

My home is 4 years old and it is the process that stanley steemers uses - they poor gallons of water on your hardwood floors, scrub it, and suck it up. They don't let you know they are going to do this until the water is on the floor and it's too late to do anything about. I contacted the owner of the SS that serviced my home (and ruined my floors), and asked to deal directly with their insurance. They were very nice about it and sent out their adjuster. Within 2 weeks, I had a check for $6k to have my floors replaced. SS should stay out of the Hardwood floor business and stick to what they are good at - carpet. |
